If you live in Louisiana state, United State of America, and you want to obtain a US passport, then you should visit the regional passport agency in New Orleans. Please note that you must be a US citizen and above 16 to be able to apply for a passport. Children below 16 years should have their parents or guardian apply in their stead.

To apply for your own passport, you need to visit a passport agency or center in your state or county. That way, it is faster to get yours, however, you will need to book an appointment before you visit.

To make an appointment, call the National Passport Information Center at 1-877-487-2778. You can do so 24 hours a day. The normal processing time takes about 4 to 6 weeks but expedited processing takes between 2-3weeks.

However, except for a life-or-death emergency, you will experience delays before receiving your passport and the return of your citizenship documents such as; previous passports, and birth and naturalization certificates.
