The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election that produced Senator Emmanuel Bwacha as the flagbearer of the party in Taraba State for next year’s general elections, has been nullified by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja.
Senator representing Taraba Central, Yusuf A. Yusuf, in the lawsuit he instituted, said the party’s governorship primary was not conducted in the state.
Ruling on the case, the court asked the leadership of the APC to conduct a fresh governorship primary in Taraba.
Bwacha was also asked to desist from parading himself as the party’s governorship candidate for Taraba.
Reacting to the court ruling, APC spokesman in the state and Bwacha’s campaign director of media and publicity, Aaron Artimas, said plans to appeal the ruling are in the pipeline.
